Name: Palenax
-Alias: Nax
Age: 650
Class: Manakete (Fire) [15]
Appearance:
-"Human":
Palenax stands at a height of around 5' 8", not being particularly tall or particularly short. She has a fair skin complexion and an athletic sort of build for the average sort of human woman. Her figure is also a rather nice one, looking particularly beautiful and generally feeding the vanity of this draconic woman. Really though, what seems to stick out the most is her ivory white tresses and the ever-constant look of amusement on her face.
The clothing she wears generally keeps up her appearance as a woman of wealth and taste. Made of fine silks and colored mostly in black and gold, Palenax's current fashion seems to be close to that of a ship captain's, giving one the impression that her apparent wealth was made in events regarding naval trade or perhaps the less legal pirating trade.
-Dragon:
Palenax's true form is that of a rather immense scaly beast, measuring about 32 feet and weighing around 15 tons. Her form is covered in scales of crimson red and honey gold, forming a beautiful tapestry of bright colors that awe and impress many non-Dragons. She also has four horns that issue forth from near her brow, arcing back and cutting imposing figures. Finally, she does not fly on the usual wings that many Dragons have, but instead flies with burning wings of golden fire, her eyes filled with much the same.
Personality:
Palenax is something of a solitary sort when it comes to most things in her life. She holds the rather simple adage that many Dragons hold as well, "I do what I want, whenever I want." Being prone to seemingly random bursts of both activity and inactivity, getting Palenax to do something leans towards knowing what kind of mood she's in and whether she considers you worth her time or not. Though at the same time, Palenax isn't exactly above being influenced by material things either. The draconic woman has a love for things of beauty, whether this means art, music, or even people that appeal to her more specific tastes. This love of the finer things is the primary driving reason for her moments of activity.
Backstory:
Palenax's story is certainly a long story, but not particularly an eventful one as far as she's concerned. Born to a pair of Fire Dragon parents with a clutch of sibling wyrmlings, Palenax was the more aggressive of the baby Dragons and has generally maintained this sort of status in her current years with her siblings. Well regardless, in no time at all she was a young little Dragon of about 30 years and flying from the lair to set off into Elibe. She traveled across the lands, coming to find out about many of the different sorts of people that lived in this world. Be they other Dragons of different natures, the many varied Humans, or the intriguing Taguel tribes.
Her time before adulthood was spent in exploration and doing anything she pleased, though this latter trait mellowed with age. Instead, it became tempered with an urge to find out more of these younger races. The Humans seemed to mostly hold displeasure for the curiosity of a Dragon, but it often ceased to make a dent in her attitude towards them. The times it did... Well, an irate Dragon tends to leave little in their wake and Palenax, when pushed to anger, is no exception of this. Aside from her various moments of anger though, Palenax still found them mostly amusing.
After the Humans were the Taguel. They came in a greater variety than the Humans and their resemblances to animals most intriguing. Yet at the same time, they seemed more frustrated than anything else, both with the monsters that battered against their weapons and the differences that made dog, rabbit, and bird just as disgruntled with each other as they were with Humans and Dragons. She ultimately left them to their own devices, tired of playing an arbiter and wanting to get back to her own business. Still, they were a rather curious lot.
These days, Palenax has leaned more on the lazy side of things. During moments of activity, she might sometimes appear to help with surges of Monsters and enforce a state of peace around her general area, even if she must use fear. Palenax prefers to keep to her own devices however, dancing as a puppet to no one's strings and setting the pace for anyone that tries to deal with her. Palenax plays her own game of fearsome independence and no one shall take it from her.
