First, the most exciting bit: Majin, magic-using melee combatants, are now playable! They come with a number of unusual restrictions and rules, but proportionate levels of awesomeness - if you ever wanted to punch someone with Forblaze, now you can. And yes, you can punch people so hard you heal them if you get Staff mastery. I don't know how it works either, don't ask.
Secondly, Mastery levels. Not to be confused with Mastery scolls. Which they are. Constantly. Given that they didn't really add much to the site and were just confusing, we've ditched mastery levels (you know, that ruleset no one cared about for equipping certain ranks of weapons). Don't worry, mastery scrolls (you know, learning to equip axes on a mage) are still here. Similarly, the confusion between Skills and Melee Skills is gone - Melee Skills have been renamed Techniques in order to minimize that. They all still exist, just hopefully people will get less confused about which is which now.
Speaking of skills, Clerics finally got a staff skill. Speaking of clerics, they actually got some buffs all around; you can start with a Bonewalker/Revenant staff instead of a Heal staff if you want to be the murder hobo variety of "healer," and while you don't get a new 300 post weapon, you (and everyone else) can use the 300 post reward to buy more weapons instead if you want.
Oh, and I guess there's an upcoming event with some PLOT(tm) and the opportunity to unlock a special new something before anyone else has a chance at it, along with a sizable chunk of gold for everyone who participates and stays active in it, but I'm sure none of you care about boring stuff like that. CARRY ON.
