Appearance:
Dr. Antony Salvo stands at a height of around 5' 10, bearing an average build that's otherwise unremarkable. She has long midnight black hair, reaching down to about shoulder length and her eyes are emerald green in color. Her dark looks are accentuated by the black clothing she wears as well. Dressed in full body dark clothing, it's actually a suit of padded leather armor. Accompanied with a black cape, as well as a wide brimmed hat, and most notably, a mask not unlike that of a raven or crow's face, a large hooked 'beak' filled with herbs to ward off disease. Overall, Dr. Salvo has a very androgynous appearance and the mask that muffles her voice doesn't help when trying to discern her gender. This actually leads to people believing the good doctor to be a man by default and Antony usually doesn't give much of a care to correct the matter.
Personality:
Dr. Antony Salvo is dedicated to two main things. The pursuit of new technological advances and advancement of the healing arts. The "good doctor" truly lives up to the silly moniker that's often applied to people of her profession, being a genuinely goodnatured and intuitive person. It's not uncommon for her to give an ailing patient a free treatment, even at the detriment of her own person. While also seeking out further advancements in medicine and the new technology in Actona, Dr. Salvo seems to care not for credit or prestige, instead focused on completing the research and development of her projects. At the same time, Dr. Salvo tends to get a bit wrapped up in her own projects at times, ironically failing to watch her own health when such times come up. Overall, she's a very bright and intelligent woman, but also one that tends to be very stubborn when it comes to her work.
Backstory:
Dr. Antony Salvo has chosen quite the route in life. The daughter of a Cleric and a lumberjack, her father was a hard working man while her mother tended to many a soul in their village. Ultimately, a young Antony decided to join her mother as a healer. Along with teaching her how to properly make use of a Staff, she taught the young girl many herbal remedies, good for treating diseases that a Staff would not normally treat. The trick to using a Staff is knowing that while it can knit flesh, repair bones, and heal wounds, it's magic is primarily used on the physical form. Though there are some Staves that can treat diseases, many cannot. As part of her learning, Antony was quite well taught by her mother in what diseases could and could not be treated, as well as about the healing magic that a Staff utilizes.
Using this training, Antony set out to other villages and eventually big cities, learning more and more in order to perfect her healing arts. Along the way, she came to Actona after a bloody coup and it's recovery under the Council of Generals. The newly managed nation was quite set in it's industrious ways, making use of prototype technology and seeking to advance in the technological arts. Attracted by these new strange creations and the wonders they could produce, Antony soon found herself a student of this new technology along with her medicinal studies. Now acting as both a doctor and an engineer, Dr. Antony Salvo is a woman that prefers to think of herself as a woman of many talents.
