Sigdrifa, Slayer of the Unjust
Name: Sigdrifa
Race: Celestial
MBTI: ESTJ
Major Arcana: Justice
Alignment: Lawful Good
Appearance: Blazing like the sky at dawn, Sigdrifa has brilliant red hair and bright emerald eyes to compliment it. Her skin is sunkissed and even seems to glitter and shimmer a bit when under the sun. Combine that with the browns, bronze, and gold of her armour and attire and one can easily come to understand that they are, in fact, in the presence of an ethereal being. A celestial that has gained sentience, personality, and will.
Fitting her preferred style of combat, Sigdrifa wears just enough armour to be functionally safe while maintaining her great speed and mobility. Since obtaining proper sentience Sigdrifa has made some personal modifications, throwing in some flair she felt befits her assumed purpose and role in the world. It fits her typical bold and stand-offish motions, mixing aggressive directness with some odd showmanship, as if it may inspire awe and wonder to all who behold her.
Her shield is closer to a buckler than a full sized shield, but as a result it can be used for both defense and offense, capable of being thrown at enemies like an ancient frisbee of sorts as a surprise attack. It is made of the same gold and bronze that her armour appears to be. Her spear is her primary weapon, however.
Personality: Sigdrifa likes to make her presence known, wherever she may go. While she isn't one to throw around bold claims “unnecessarily”, she does make certain that those around her know who she is and what she can do. Ideally this is a way to be validated by those around her, respected or at least admired, though it can backfire and rub people the wrong way, sparking unnecessary conflict. And while Sigdrifa does not go looking for conflict, or at least it's not her usually intention, she is not one to back down from a challenge unless the “challenger” has an authority over her in some way that she can respect.
While she appears to take a great deal of pride in her capabilities and even her appearance, Sigdrifa is actually fuelled by incredibly high standards she puts on herself and constantly feels as though she may be falling short. A rather insidious inferiority complex. Just accomplishing a goal isn't enough: she needs to make it look easy AND achieve perfection from start to finish. She needs to excel at what she does, and what she has chosen to do is fight. As such she's quite vigorous and dutiful in her training routines. Unfortunately this means she can put those same high standards and expectations on those she is not used to working with.
If they can't excel with her, then they are holding her back. If they can, they might be a potential rival or threat.
When communicating with others, Sigdrifa prefers to tell things as they are and speaks her mind easily. This can, as you might imagine, be both a boon and a curse. Unfortunately sometimes she just can't help herself, and the thoughts and opinions she shares can cast a rather negative light on her. She's learned to hold her tongue for the most part, but usually only around people she absolutely NEEDS to. As in those who could destroy her in an instant
Not exactly a long-term thinker, Sigdrifa is mostly focused on improving herself and advancing her strength. She believes herself to be a sort of “scion of justice”, a form created by the very concept of justice that she may deliver herself unto the world at large. However she is rather aggressive in this ideal, fighting the unjust or at the very least scolding them. Sigdrifa believes this purpose is all that she has, yet when she's left alone to think about this goal and her progress, she will occasionally feel a sort of “emptiness” that leaves her in a depressed mood. She takes pride in what she does, yes, but even when she succeeds in destroying a foul creature or an unjust being, it doesn't really matter to her.
There's always more. She always needs more, and more never makes a difference. Yet she's already put so much into this path that she doesn't believe there is anything to go back to. Even in victory she only gets so much enjoyment, and yet defeat and failure hit her incredibly hard. Even worse is when Sigdrifa is forced to contemplate what “true justice” even is. Believing herself to be a creation of that concept itself, pondering what constitutes true justice is to question her own existence. It is too much for Sigdrifa, and as a result her rather harsh, black and white view on justice is not likely to change easily.
History: An ideal is a powerful thing, even in a place that can seem as hopeless or terrifying as Elibe. Following or simply abiding by an ideal can make a person become more than just a person. It can add a layer of depth so intricate that few if any can truly understand what drives that person by that point.
In the Aether, however, an ideal can become so much more. If an idea is truly powerful enough it can begin to take semi-physical shape. Symbols and structures that represent just a slice of such a powerful belief, and when the ideal begins to reach it's maximum potential, even the life that flickers and sings through the Aether can begin to shape itself after it.
From what Sigdrifa can recall, this itself was the process of her “creation”. First came self-awareness, but by then she'd already taken a human like form. This was simply the point in her life where she genuinely became aware of herself and her surroundings. No longer a singing, malleable spectre weaving through the grand cathedrals that made up her home slice of the Aether, but something genuinely resembling a physical living being. In fact, when her mind opened up to the information self-awareness provided, she found herself not in the Aether at all.
Immediately after this self-awareness came purpose. A fire burning so intensely that it nearly caused her physical pain NOT to act on it. A voice within her mind that spoke not a single word, and yet Sigdrifa understood it's command. Enforce the ideal of justice upon her new surroundings. Familiarize herself with Elibe and put down any who stand in the way of what is, perhaps, the Aether's most beautiful and beloved concept. It's grandest design. It's favoured ideal.
Beyond this Sigdrifa knows not her origins. She knows not the force that molded her into shape, provided her with weapons to give form to her power. Sigdrifa can only believe that it is, in fact, the very concept of Justice itself. Sigdrifa was no grand cathedral or hall of glory and testament, but instead proof that the ideal of Justice had grown so powerful and large within the Aether that it can mold, shape, and spark the life that glistens and flows all throughout the Aether.
No more singing. Now, she fought.
Combat: Sigdrifa prides herself on her offensive prowess in battle. Not one to try and weather the attacks of an enemy, she instead would destroy them with a storm of her own. Dashing a great speeds, wielding her spear, her shield, and light magic to smite her targets and bring justice to this chaotic world. That said Sigdrifa seems to but significantly more focus into her physical capabilities, more likely to get up close and personal with her foe then try to blast them with light magic.
As such her lancework is improving faster than her use of light magic. That said, if forced onto the defense end of combat, Sigdrifa may begin to struggle. She certainly specializes in maintaining offensive pressure on her opponent, wearing them down with her speed and might before eliminating them.
