Commonly known as elemental magic, Anima magic is by far the most common of all magic types on Elibe - it is the easiest to grasp the basics of, as well as perhaps the most natural of all magic types; there are some who say that Anima is in fact the natural magic of humanity and the world itself, and it is certainly true that Anima mages are more innately in tune with natural magic flows than any other variety of mage. Despite the simplicity of picking up the basics, Anima is every bit as complex as any of its competitors, perhaps even more so given that it is split into three elemental subtypes - Fire, Lightning, and Wind.
Anima is the magic of understanding - of being able to attune one's self to the natural flow of magic in the world, of being able to coax the proper variety of elemental expression from it, and spinning elemental devastation from thin air. Where Dark magic alters and Light magic creates, Anima magic accepts the framework of the world and works within those rules, utilizing the magic in the air around them and within themselves to express their will. Each elemental subtype is wrought differently and often linked to emotion. Fire is warmth all-encompassing or the raging inferno, love and rage little more than two sides of the same coin. Lightning is certainty and willpower, the brilliance of lightning and the unrelenting fury of the storm. Wind is change and adaptability, scything blades of force and gentle breezes separated by an instant. These themes vary between individual Anima mages, each with a unique set of ties to the world as they broaden their understanding, each expecting different results from the magic they wield.
