Appearance:
Remus is a relatively thin individual, a directly result to many instances where he himself would spend timeless hours hidden away reading in his spare time and missing out on meals or offering the majority of his food to children around the orphanage to ensure they do not hunger at times; eating just enough to get by. His skin is almost remarkably pale from him spending most of his time indoors. However he has an air of charm about him, from his bright emerald eyes that always seem to hold limitless enthusiasm to the messy blue hair that is due for a cut. Standing at 5'7 he is relatively average in height.

Remus is remarkably kind-hearted. He's helped at two different orphanages, the second being his current residence and he often puts most of his effort into trying to better the lives of the children there. He however is also trusting to a fault and somewhat easily flustered by embarrassing situations. He will go to any means to tend to others however, if he believes he can be of genuine help. He believes everyone should go to their upmost to assist others, even in such harrowing and dark times.
This however will inevitably cause him to annoy some, as his eagerness to help can lead to enthusiasm in even the smallest or most mundane of tasks. As he grows and matures more this will become a more toned down aspect though never fully vanish. He is also, in his eagerness to help somewhat rushed which can lead to him seeming a bit clumsy. Occasional tripping or stumbling aside, he is a good hearted man who is willing to go to any means to help those in need.
History:
Candle fire lit the small room the blue haired priest sat within. A wooden writing desk before him, he had a single finger parting the page he currently read with the upcoming page, eyes quickly darting from line to line along the musty old tome. The rest of his reading light came from the beams of pale lunar radiance that passed through the window into his room. Immersed in his tome so much so, he had once again forgotten the actual reason he had first entered. Simply put, to rest. As usual, the desire to merely read a few pages before sleep had swiftly turned into a few chapters. The distant hootings of a particularly vocal owl however was just enough to draw his attention as he turned the page. Emerald eyes lifted upwards before he noticed just how much the moon had drifted through the sky already. Sliding the red silken book mark into place he folded the tome closed before leaning back in his chair. The quiet sound of the two children slumbering in the bed behind him came as comfort. He had been trying to find them for some time, and now that he had found them he had but one more to find. A small furrow creased in his expression as he thought back on it all.
Truly, how things had changed. For the better, no doubt..until recently.
-Events told through a reflection Remus had one night.-
Of-course, growing up around an orphanage himself had seemed to come full circle in it's influence. His mother and father, both devout in their beliefs of helping others, had opened one with their moderate wealth. Built beside his fathers shop no less, having been a fairly successful merchant he had decided to forgo a life of excess and spend his coin assisting others. The first Orphange Remus had helped with the tending off in his own way. His older sister had already come of age to leave and follow her studies in magical arts by the time he was old enough to help around the orphanage. She was a talented student in the magical arts, and quickly advanced through her studies with a ravenous hunger for more knowledge. Not sharing in the same aptitude for the arcane; Remus had opted to try and make a difference elsewhere...even if it was the smallest of things at home. To him, all of the children there were like brothers and sisters. Though he could only help in ways like attempting to keep spirits up in hard times; or assisting in cleaning up and maintaining a nice condition of the orphanage he did so without complaint. Eventually a few kind healers from the lycian divide had offered to take over the Orphanage for his father. It had been a nice gesture, and Remus's first encounter with active members of the healing arts.
A dark haired woman had arrived with the two quiet men and monk who would look after the children. At first, they had confused him with the other orphans when they arrived, hadn't they? There he was, trying to help clean the hall with a bit of mud still on his cheek from running around outside and some dirt on his hands. The sheer kindness she had treated him with thinking he was one of the lost children had taken him aback.
Had he been an orphan he surely would have felt in that moment like there was a place for him. He was sure of it. It gave him pause for thought, if that was how he made the others feel? Having always had somewhere to be, he couldn't be sure. That first act, combined with what he saw as their ability to bolster the spirits of the orphans like he and his parents had never done inspired him to follow in their footsteps. To become someone that could travel through and outside of the Lycian Divide, and dedicate his life to helping others.
His parents were as support of this, as they had been of his older sister when she told them of her desire to find further magical studies. However being an adventurer was not as easy as he had initially speculated. A hard life, with studying and danger and practice beyond any dedication he had imagined awaited him. It was rewarding none the less though, as the more he came to understood the faith the more he realized that he wished to simply become an outstanding rolemodel for others to emulate. To heal the wounds of others, both physically and mentally, was a worthy goal above any other in his mind. It fueled his desires to aid others and soon he had all but mimicked his sister in her ravenous desire of arcane knowledge with the followings of previous great healers. From the rumors and myths behind them to every magical feat of protection in historical text. As the years progressed, he was introduced to a type of magic he had been familiar with but only in vague ways. The healing magics. Channeling good will, hope and devotion combined with disciplined willpower within through that of a staff, he could actually learn to heal others wounds. Physical ones such as cuts or gashes; while more powerful individuals could heal wounds which could lead to fatal outcomes such as stab wounds.
It was a practice he devoutly followed through with, always seeking to improve himself. Having left home when he moved to make a difference, he soon found like minded individuals and offered to assist at an orphanage. He had been accepted to due to his experience with helping run one in the past.
Growing attached to the children quickly, he had often looked over them all as if an older brother would. Eager to keep the children in good spirits, he spent time teaching them when they could manage to focus or giving in to their distractions to run about chasing or playing with them. Though his lack of sometimes needed stern presence was frowned upon by the eldest priest of the house, and even a few scoldings from said priest.
Remus was often in charge of taking the children for field trips. Sometimes to the local fields to try and erase potential distractions of toys and such for their lessons; while at other times he would take them to the local villages and sometimes the larger cities inside the lycian divide.
Things wouldn't stay peaceful however. Upon one of their ventures back from a trip to the town however, he had noticed a child was missing. A small boy with brown hair by the name of Thomas. He had been admiring the smiths forged creations, and Remus was certain he had done a head count before leaving. To this day it bothered him, that he would have been un-attentive. Escorting the children back, two had claimed to have seen him last. A small girl named Amelia, with dark raven black hair and another young boy named Owain with blonde hair. They offered to help, and though Remus would have had them assist Father Murdock, the head of the orphanage refused on the grounds that it was Remuses job to find them as it was his error.
As he set off, little to his knowing the two children had snuck off. The orphanage would find out hours later, sending a letter to arrive at the town to inform Remus so he could find them as well. However, brigands struck. Sweeping through the area they attacked and burnt down the orphanage after looting for the minuscule gold it had to offer. They then set their sites on the town. Remus was within the town as they set upon it, having just received the letter and attempted to locate the children. While speaking to the smiths son he realized that the boy's desire to learn how to create what the smith had could have been strong enough that it would lead him to steal away when the smith had left the town to deliver a shipment of arms to outside the Lycian divide. He had volunteered to forge weapons and armor to better equip those that would be attempting to make the territory safe once more.
No one had seen the boy, and it was the only place he had to investigate. The bandits attacking however had taken the village by surprise. Unfortunately for them, the act of raising the orphanage to the ground drew the attention of a lycian patrol who followed them. The village though damaged slightly remained entirely in-tact as the bandits were swiftly put to justice.
However they also brought with them the news to Remus that his orphanage was gone. Devastated, he had but one purpose left to him. To find the three children. The two that had snuck out he found easily enough, as they came to him at the forge. However he felt he had to find the third child. Outside of Lycia was his only option to investigate. Especially difficult given it's status as a no-mands land, and dangerous.
He couldn't simply abandon the child though to unknown dangers.
He left them for the time, with his parents until he could better judge the danger that would be possessed in such travels.
In the morning, his search would begin...
Combat: Remus is gifted most, in healing magics. This is utilized in every way possible. He will go as far as to use himself to shield others from harm and heal his wounds; all to ensure they don't feel any ounce of pain. To this end of desiring to save others, he is also able to perform barriers and cast light magic which he attempts to utilize defensively, though he is not as strong in either.
