Name: Malai of the Wastes
Race: Human
Appearance: See Image, She is not the tallest or most muscular by appearance instead using the nether to augment herself as needed. Her eyes are an emerald green and her dirty blond hair is usually tied back into a loose ponytail. She carries herself with an unbreakable confidence and self assuredness not often seen. She has soft features but these twist when she enters combat becoming far more wicked.
Her body is lean and lithe enough allowing her to disguise as a man if she so desires but she prefers a suit of heavy set armor and helm regardless. Her blade, forged by her mother is a vast greatsword she wields in one hand. It bares very little embellishments as it is intended to remain a temporary weapon until she can forge her own.
In combat, if she is forced to use her powers to their fullest she will become visibly shrouded by swirling nether, proof of the success of her mother's labors. She is a blood knight and tends to go berserk throwing herself at her foes or even her sword ahead of her body. Typically she will need to be restrained or have no more opponents to get her to stop.
Personality: Malai is an extremely violent and volatile woman. She has a tendency to look at problems and if she can not smash them then it is not worth solving. She was raised with a blade in hand and spent many nights having treatments from her mother bathing her in Nether in order to ensure an aptitude and connection with it.
Due to this style of raising she has a patience and understanding for magic that she would rarely exhibit otherwise but growing among barbarians to teach her the blade she much prefers that approach to problems. She does show an appreciation for the arts and finer things but if someone were to try and talk with her about the finer details and aspects she will get irritable and frustrated. She does not do well with the abstract or double meanings but appreciates a straight forward person.
She 'knows' she is better than the majority of the masses and so sees the meek as merely in awe of her own greatness but those that would disrespect her will invite her full wrath. She views herself as a warrior first and a human second and to refer to her as anything less is to invite her ire. She finds concepts of gender roles and social etiquette to be trivial and obnoxious. She respects strength alone, and whatever you can do she cannot.
History: Malai is the daughter of The Witch of the Wasteland and King Leon of Eredil. She holds these two figures in the greatest regards wishing to emulate them both, despite never meeting her father. As a child she would be told tales of the great feats of the Knight's Order as well as other heroes of the land causing her to long to join their numbers.
Her mother would give her nether treatments to infuse its power into her body daily along with having her learn to wield a blade. When she shattered a normal sword she knew her plans were working. Malai was naturally better at most things than others and enjoyed the praise for her physical feats, most notably when she was sent to survive in the wasteland for a month and returned unscathed.
Growing up she was never referred to as either daughter or son, only child. Her mother's child. She never believed she was nothing more than a tool to her mother and instead took offense if anyone called her a girl. Normally this would not bother her but it was the implications she believed she saw in their words. When this was used to mock her she beat the offender bloody with her bare hands. It was then her mother ended the treatments realizing she could not be too violent for her plans to work.
Upon reaching adulthood Malai was tested against ten other warriors and when she reigned the victor her mother deemed it time to meet her father. Eagerly she was ready to set out with her armor and blade in hand. She would make her mark on the world as a great hero and next in line for the throne of Eredil.
What Malai could not realize was that her existence was wrought in order to bring down the Knight's Order with her innocence. She believes her father is the greatest hero in the land and that she will be welcomed as his child. Her mother knows she is going to be rejected and now sees her as simply a ticking time bomb.
Combat: Malai's combat is wild and unrefined. She uses wide swings and strength with the intent of overwhelming her foes utterly. She could be compared to setting off an explosion in the center of a group that forces them to scatter. If needed she will augment herself with nether or envelop her blade in it to further extend her already considerable reach or bring true hell upon a single foe.
