Backstory: Kenshin was the only child of the village's chieftain, it was normal for the tribes of Sacea for the eldest son to assume that role when of age. This was true for Kenshin's tribe, growing up his father tried to teach him everything he could about how to be a good leader. The two would often travel to other tribes to better their relations with them and so Kenshin could learn how other tribes live in hopes he could one day use those to better their own tribe. Between all of the traveling and lessons on how to be a great leader Kenshin met with a swordsmen who trained him in the art of combat. Kenshin had always wished to become a warrior and not a leader, his cousin Matis seemed to be better for that role than he was. One faithful morning Kenshin's wish came true, his village was burned to the ground and any living were killed. Only ones to make it out alive was Kenshin and Matis. This wasn't how he wanted his dream to come true, he vowed on his life to avenge every last person in his tribe. Along the way Kenshin had met truly amazing people, to him they were cannon fodder to enact his revenge against the man he hated more than anything, the leader of the Runiz Bandits Hargus.
Bern had their sights on Ostia, Kenshin had arrived a day or two before their army warning them of the impending doom. Helping rally the troops Kenshin had his own battle plans in mind, Bern was now in sight and the two armies clashed outside of Ostia's walls. Before the battle some of the people Matis had met brought a blade that seemed to be calling out to be given to Kenshin, the Falcatta. In the middle of the battle Kenshin abandoned everybody to head back to Bern to hunt down Hargus, Abel and Matthias had chased behind him and caught up with him. The three were quickly approaching the bandit hold out, Kenshin sent Abel ahead to scout it out. What happened next haunts him to this day, Abel raced into a trap that took his life. Using a live sacerfice Hargus was finally able to resurrect the heroes of the Scouring as his puppets, Kenshin was filled with fear and was unable to move as Hartmut stood before him. A tingling sensation over took him, he could feel his body being called elsewhere, in a blink of an eye he was in a room with all of his allies and the legendary Athos. He had learned that he was a direct decedent of Hanon, one of Athos' allies in the Scouring. Splitting up the groups set off to defeat the puppets, Kenshin was with Katara and Ryan. While the three were resting for the night a large ship came floating towards them in the sea of sand, with catuion the three climbed aboard. After a brief conversation with the caption aboard Kenshin sensed danger, grabbing Katara he dove off the ship ensuring there was no harm brought to the girl, he tried to lure them away so the others could escape. It didn't go as planned, Katara re-boarded the ship and began to slay the men aboard to save Kenshin. Joining her the two had cleared most of the men on board, Katara went in search of the caption while Kenshin met somebody he knew from the start of his journey. As the two spoke the woman in charge showed up on deck with Katara in arms, she demanded the men lay down their weapons or the woman dies. Kenshin and Kyo laid down arms, it wasn't long before Kenshin noticed Katara was awake and ready to strike. Kenshin kicked his blade into the air and caught it as he rushed forward, swinging only to meet blades with Katara as the woman vanished in thin air.
Days later when they got into town Ryan had left the group, Katara and Kenshin had began to develop feelings for each other since that night they were attacked by the mysterious ship. Taking a day to rest the two went out on a date, everything went well untill that night. Hargus had located Kenshin and attacked the town. The one man between Hargus and Kenshin was Kenshin's rivil since childhood, the two fought to what was assumed to the death. Barely dodging an attack Kenshin had received the only wound of that battle on his cheek. The scar is a reminder of his constant failure. The battle had ended shortly after Sasuke had broke the Falcatta and rendered Kenshin unconcuis. Waking up Kenshin found Katara to be safe and was happy to see that, they started their journey back to Sacae once again. Along the way the two stopped in Lyica where Katara's tribe had moved to in time for the moon festival. Katara had introduced Kenshin to her father as her boyfriend and attended to the festival that night as her father had worked to fix the Falcatta. Kenshin and the group had learned Bern planned on attacking them, he was pissed off at Bern at this point, he wasn't going to allow them to touch this peaceful village and harm those dear to Katara, he left without word in search of the army. Quickly and quitely he took out a soldier and put on his uniform and joined the ranks of their army in search of their leader. Cut off the head and the body will die, his plan had failed, the woman from the desert had saw through the disguise. Taking him prisoner she had a better plan for him, before the small group attacked the villiage she placed him under the berserk staff and let him loose on the battlefield. There was no foe nor friend, just a body in his uncontrolable rage's path, Katara had rendered him useless by knocking him out after a good amount of destruction was done by him. Bern's small group was defeated then Alan, one of the few people Kenshin trusted these days, had shown up with a prisoner. She had betrayed the group and was captured by Alan, he also brought grim news of Bern's main army was marching towards the village. They had only a night to prepare for a battle or run, Katara's father was finished with the Falcatta and returned it to Kenshin with an addition to the hilt. A jewel that was once part of Katara's late mother's necklace. Morning had came all too soon, they had decided to run for their lives, Kenshin joined the warrior to hold off their army as the people escaped. Their army was too massive, Kenshin had called for a retreat to join the others. Passing through the mountains the group finally made it to Sacae where they were met by a group of people along with Hanon.
They weren't sure if the Scouring heroes were truly alive or not, they knew there were being forced to act in this manor. Kenshin didn't want to lose the only person with the same blood line as him since it was down to him and Matis, he turned his blade against his friend. Watching Kenshin's betrayal one of the people with Hanon fought against Kenshin, it was the man who showed him how to wield a sword. His goal was to beat the sense back into Kenshin, he didn't want to see his pupil use his blade against those he called his friends. The battle was almost over, it had looked as if Kenshin was about to die, feelings of regret had began to flood Kenshin. It was like his life flashed in front of his eyes, for most people it's their entire life but at this moment it was only the time he spent with Katara. He couldn't just give up and allow himself to be defeated and leave her alone, avoiding the attack Kenshin had killed his teacher and set his sights on Hanon only for his knee to give out. Lending the Falcatta to Katara she had landed the final blow against Hanon, unsure what to do with the body Kenshin took it with him. The real thing or not, Kenshin was going to give her a proper burial with his village, which he saw their graves set by another tribe they were friends with. Along the way he met up with Matthias and a few others to learn about how they were successful. Giving Hanon a proper burial, using the Falcatta as a seal to protect her and her bow, Kenshin's group split up, Katara went to help the others out west while he was marching towards Bern to deal with one of the final two "heroes" then Hargus.
Kenshin was captured by Bern, they had wanted to use his group to stop Hargus as well so they sent aid with him. This was it, he was in front of their fortress with an army. They were met by Hargus' own army of bandits, it wasn't long before Hartmut joined the fight. Kenshin and a few others confronted him, Hartmut had put up a great fight against Alan and Kenshin. He had even killed off Alan's wyvern, but that didn't slow him down. The monster had fallen, witnessing his defeat it was as if the battle had came to a stand still in awe. Kenshin had helped the wounded man who helped the duo fight Hartmut to their side of the front lines. Hargus had finally joined the chaos, upon seeing it Kenshin reverted back to his old self. Blinded by rage he had only one thing on his mind, murdering this man. Kenshin had almost ignored the fact that Katara and Matis had appeared out of nowhere because of the fact Hargus was so close. His head lowered, hair nearly covering his whole face while he was staring down Hargus. A tear ran down his check hitting the ground. He started to speak up.
"The smell of burning huts, the sounds of people I grew up with screaming in fear, the smell of blood, the smell of burning flesh, sounds of loved ones being slain. Those are forever burned into my memory. Not a day goes by I try to push them away, when I do they get closer and closer." Slowly raising his head he kept talking. "The people of the Wind Tiger, MY PEOPLE, was slain because you wanted to have control of everything. When I had the Falcatta I was able to hear the voices of the gods. When the blade had broke I wasn't able to hear them.
"As we stand here now I'm hearing my people. 'Murder' 'Cold hearten brigand' 'Spill his blood like his men spilled ours' 'Revenge' 'Hatred' 'Revenge' 'REVENGE'. They are all demanding the same thing, your life to meet the same fate as theirs."
Putting his hand onto the hilt of his blade he took off in a sprint, around allies towards Hargus. Almost stomping his right foot into the ground when he would of started to step with his left he launched himself jumping at Hargus drawing his sword, using the extra speed of unsheathing his blade to attack.
Hargus avoided that blow, along with any others Kenshin made. Alan had rushed in behind Kenshin only to work in Hargus' advantage, using the two to get in each other's way. Fearful that he was going to die he stepped back as other's joined in fighting Kenshin went to Katara to hold his love one last time. Embrasing her Katara had confessed that she was with child, in that moment Hargus' death meant nothing to Kenshin, Katara's and his survival was more important. The two stood there, holding each other while others fought Hargus. It wasn't long before they were able to slay the man, Kenshin had used invited Katara to join him in the new tribe for lost Sacaeans he was going to start, as his wife.
A couple of years had past since that day, Bern had started trouble once again but this time completely taking out Lycia and setting it's sights on Sacea. Not wanting Kirala, Kenshin's daughter, to live through what he had Kenshin sought to stop their progressions before Bern made it to his home. Seeing that Bern had over whelmed the tribe's in it's path he sought out aid from outsiders. With an agreement with Illia to gain control of Bern once they had lost they made an assault on their castle. With the group of Saceans attempting to march on the castle Bern thought they had the advantage, it was until the Pegi began to descend upon their wyvern riders. It wasn't long before the mighty Bern had fallen, Illia took control, and Kenshin went home to his loving wife and daughter.
It had been a few years, the news of danger reached Kenshin's ear once again. Taking his blade he vowed to keep them away from his family, before he left home he held Kirala till she finally squirmed away. He had a goal, to live at all cost to see his family. While traveling around he ensured other tribes knew how to defend themselves and what to in case of an emergency. He would aid them in raids on bandit forts, or defeating small groups of Kraft's army that were causing trouble. Every couple of months he always made it a priority to go home to see his family. He had done this for a couple of years, he felt the plains would be safe even without the Crimson Demon. On his way home he had stopped at Bulgar to get a gift for Kirala, something was calling towards him. The shrine for Hanon's grave, it was turned into an attraction due to the Falcatta, the blade that will not leave the earth. Kenshin tried to draw the blade but it wouldn't budge, it wasn't long before a girl had entered the shrine behind him, there was something special about her. Convincing her to draw the blade it came out with ease, Kenshin retrieved Hanon's bow and left the girl to return home. He was unsure what to do with the bow so he was going to return home for a couple of days then head to Bern in search of Alan, who once had one of the Scouring weapons.
The amount of time he had allowed himself before going home was almost up, he ran into Mana once again, the same girl who drew his old sword. He promised the next time they saw each other the two would duel. While watching the tournament in hopes of finding Alan there an assassin had jumped into the ring and nearly killed one of the combatants. Heading to help protect the fallen warrior Kenshin had realized he knew the assassin. Now defending the assassin he fought a man who went by the name of Ardus till a dragon attacked the city.
The few days after that is the last thing Kenshin could remember, he woke up in an unfamiliar setting and spent time trying to figure out where he was. From what he could tell he was in the past, a time before the Scouring had began. He had no clue how he ended up here, the only thing he knew was he'll never get to see his wife and daughter again.
